Fortuna High School's varsity volleyball team played a game September 29, 2015 against the Arcata Tigers at Arcata High. The result score was 14-25, the win in Arcata’s favor, although it may be a loss, the Huskies played an amazing game and didn’t give up without a fight.
Emily D., a junior at Fortuna High School, said that volleyball is a great way to make friends and it is very fun, she suggests that more freshman should play because it is a great way to meet new people.
Emily is very passionate for volleyball, “I’ve been playing since fourth grade,” said Emily, “it is a huge stress reliever.”
Emily really looks forward to spending time with her team during volleyball and winning, “we have a really great group of girls,” she explained.

Natalie N. is a junior at Fortuna High School who enjoys her Modes of Writing class. She spends her extra time at the gym and hanging out with her friends.
